The medieval village of Vigoleno
Not far from Castell’Arquato is Vigoleno, a fortress and at the same time tiny village that lies on a hill. The crenellated walls, the picturesque fountain of the XVI century, the tower which now houses a hotel: the castle of Vigoleno holds numerous surprises! In addition to the fortress, you can also admire the Romanesque church of San Giorgio in the village.
We recommend you try the dessert wine “Vin Santo di Vigoleno” which in recent years has occupied first place among the dessert wines in Italy and has became part of the top-20 best wines of Italy.
