Visit Parma

The city of Parma is located between Bologna and Milan, in Emilia-Romagna, a region in the north-east corner of Italy. It has a population of 195,000. Parma is an historic town founded well before our era. Although the exact date it was founded is unknown, ancient remains indicate that the area was already inhabited 5000 years ago. The official date of its foundation, however, is considered as the year 183 B.C. when the city was taken under Roman jurisdiction.
